In 1878, in his book “The Soul and the Resurrection - Harmony of Science and the Bible on the Nature of the Soul and the Doctrine of the Resurrection”, J. H. Kellogg made a statement where we can see that he rejects both trinitarian formulation and Athanasian Creed.

A man whose mind has been expanded by converse with Nature, by the study of the infinite wisdom and goodness of God through his works, can no more believe in the doctrines of the Athanasian creed than he can make a world and people it. The doctrine of eternal punishment, as elucidated by Jonathan Edwards, is most offensively repugnant to such a soul.
