Abstract
Angels in Heaven recognize and worship the Father as their God, while also worshipping Christ under the Father’s command. All angels were created through Christ and are subject to Him, despite the Father being their God.
Who are the Holy Angels calling their God?
- And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Angels in Heaven identify the Father as their God.
- And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
- And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
- Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
Angels join together with a great multitude to worship God, who “sitteth upon the throne”, and they call Him their God. This person is the Father in particular.
- And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
- Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
The seal of the living God is the seal of the Father. They call the Father their God.
Clearly, as it is seen that the Father is identified as God of Holy Angels, it is worth emphasizing that Holy Angels also worship the Son of God. This was the command of the Father.
- And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
The Holy Angels belong to the Father. They are “angels of God”. But also, God has subjected His Angels to His Son:
- Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
The reason for this is the fact that God the Father created everything through His Son, including the Angels.
- For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
