Who is God of the Jews? All records from the Scriptures points to God the Father. Let’s start with Jesus’ own testimony. As a Jew He said to the Samaritan woman:
- Ye worship ye know not what: we [Jews] know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
- But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
There is no mistake here. Jews knew what and who they worship. It is the Father. Their understanding of who God was, is correct understanding according to Christ’s own testimony.
His disciples were Jews, and He said to them:
- Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Jesus pointed to the Father.

- Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
- Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
- Jesus answered [speaking to Jews], If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
God of Paul - the Father
- First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob - the Father
- The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
- For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet [that’s Jesus] shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
- And when they [Jews] heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
- The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
